UX hiring demand is up — but check the small print

Published 19 July 2026 · Source dated 1 November 2024

A 2024 roundup cites LinkedIn and Adobe data showing UX design demand is rising, but the figures are US/global, not UK-specific. Good general signal, not a substitute for checking your own market.

This piece cites a 2024 LinkedIn report ranking UX design among the top five in-demand skills globally, plus an Adobe stat saying 87% of hiring managers see hiring more UX people as a priority. Those are decent headline numbers — but they're aggregated global figures, and the salary and bootcamp-placement stats quoted in the same piece are US-sourced, in USD. Don't assume any of it maps directly onto the UK market. The honest read: demand signals look positive at a global level, but you still need to check what's actually live and paying in the UK right now rather than lean on global averages for your own decisions.
